Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Alaska

bankruptcy on credit report

I am a co-signer on my mother's home loan, and have been for a number of years. A few years ago, she filed bankruptcy, but the home was not included. however, it shows up on my credit report as though I filed bankruptcy, with the home included. the company claims that it does go on my credit report, however it is causing problems for me in trying to buy a home of my own. is there anyway to get it off my report?

Libel of credit - bankruptcy

The credit reporting agency or agencies are libeling your credit; that is an intentionaltort which carries punitive damages. When yousue, you should be able to recover enough indamages that you won't have to worry about ahome mortgage - you will have cash to buy a home.

There is also a federal action under the Fair Credit Reportiing Act (Title 15, United States Code, Section 1692k) but damages are limited.Contact an attorney who specializes in litigationwho will take your case on a contingent fee.Shoot, I'd take a third of a million-dollarjudgmnent against each of 3 credit reportingagencies - then I wouldn't have to worryabout a mortgage loan, either!
