my ex owes $121,000.00 in child support arrears, now he wants to settle. What would you suggest is a fair settlement offer?

The answer depends on a number of factors: whether there has been a judgment entered on the arrears if required, whether he is employed/has income, what amount you are willing to accept, if he can do payments, etc. Many things to consider.

There is no way I could offer a specific figure as "fair". He owes you 100%, and that obligation will never go away. BUT, there can be advantages to taking a lump sum now.

I would base my opinion on how collectible he is. How much is he paying each month? Would you rather take a monthly payment "forever" vs a lump sum now?

I would need to know more.
