Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Arizona

Have credit card debt.

Got a letter from the company saying that my case was "dissmissed without prejudice". The amount was less than $10,000. There has been no activity on the account for the past 7 years.

Now I received another letter stating that I have to respond to a court order.

What am I legally responsible to do?

For a credit card you have to be sued within 6 years of your last payment. If a payment hasn't been made in over 6 years you may have a very good defense to the lawsuit.

Either way, I suggest you contact an attorney for a free consultation.
