Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona

I was arrested about 2 months ago for fraud and fraudulent schemes. I was taken down to the police station processed and let go without ever seeing a judge. I was told my case would be turned over to the prosecuting attorney and I would be notified. My question is what are the chances that charges will be filed and how long does this process usually take before I hear something about my case? Is there a statute on how long they have to file charges?

The state has seven years to charge these offenses. As to the chances of being charged it is hard to say without reviewing the police report. If a complaint or indictment is filed with the court you will more than likely receive a summons to appear. Sometimes it could take six months or even longer before anything is filed.
