Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona

I was charged with poss. of dangerous drug in 2000 by Mojave county court. The charges were dropped without prejudice. I have been living in Ohio for the past 11 years and recently found out that I had been recharged with the offense three days after the original charges were dropped. Could this be a non extraditing warrant because there have been plenty of times in the last 11 years when i was stopped or been in jail and I never heard or knew anything about the warrant until I looked at Mojave county website. Is there such a thing as a "State only " Warrant ?

Even though the warrant may only call for extradition within Arizona, you'd be crazy to ignore the matter and not deal with it. Sooner or later it will cause you problems in terms of background checks or being jailed unnecessarily. It would be interesting to see if the witnesses and evidence were even still available. If you are looking to hire private counsel, get in touch with me. I've handled quite a number of cases like yours with success.
