Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona

Child Porn Case

A year ago I took in a roommate. While he was here, I ran an MIRC server to collect porn. About a year after he moved in, the FBI raided my house and confiscated all my computers. My roommate said he thought it was due to the MIRC server. He tried to convince me to put everything in his name and flee the country. He said that, He was the only person I could trust and that if I did as he asked; he would make sure to send me money weekly. I refused and three days later he robbed me and fled the state. After he left, I discovered two CDs hidden in his room that contained child pornography. I also have sworn statements from 3 boys ranging from 12-15 saying that he showed them porn and tried to make sexual advances on them. With all this information, I thought that this case would be open and shut. To my surprise, the FBI has told me that they have no interest in the roommate and that they plan on charging me with possession and distribution of child porn.

I am writing to you to see if there is anything you can do to help, or if there is anyone you could refer me to. I have contacted several attorneys and none will help unless I can pay them $5,000-$10,000 up front, which I can not.

Re: Child Porn Case

You are in a serious situation. You need

pre-indictment representation. My suggestion is

that you contact the Federal Public Defenders

Office before you make things any worse then they already are.
