Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

What is the right way to do this?

My current husbands job might be relocating to Arizona. We currently reside in Utah and so does my ex husband. In our divorce it doesn't say that I can't move or anything, but what do I need to do to be able to move with my three children? What does the court look for when deciding if a move can be made? Can this be done through mediation?

You need to give your ex written notice of the date when you expect to move - do it as soon as you know. You can mediate a new visitation schedule, the Utah Code has a schedule for parents who live out of state. In short that schedule provides for more summer visitation and more generous holiday time. You should get a new court order regarding visitation so the terms are clear for both of you. If your ex is cooperative and fair, and if you are fair, there is no reason this should be all that difficult.
