Re: modification of child support

Thank you for your inquiry. Child support in AZ is based on a formula that considers the parties' incomes, cost of daycare and medical insurance, and the amount of visitation exercised by the non-custodial parent. In a modification situation, the new support number must be at least 15% different from the current support number. If the support you pay to your third child is court-ordered, or if that child lives with yo, you will receive credit when re-calculating your AZ support.

I offer a free 30-minute consultation, during which time we could perform the calculation to determine whether your child support should be modified. I can explain the process, including the steps that are taken if your ex contests the modification.

Please contact my office to set a time that we can speak.
