Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

spousel maintenance
My boyfriend has been divorced for over two years. The spousel support expires on august 1, 2006. His ex lives in another state. Does she have to come back to Az to refile for extended support or raising child support? If he keeps paying the support to help out, is he able to claim the money in his taxes even he is not legally obligated to be paying it?

She would have to file to extend BEFORE the term expires.

I am not sure about the tax question. I would direct that question to a CPA.
