Insurance companies generally ask for lots of information that they really don't have a need for in settling a claim. Giving it up is always voluntary, since no case is pending and no subpoena has issued. They use this information to find ways to deny the claim. When an insurance company asks for phone call records and financial information, they are alerting you to their belief that you stole your own truck. If you believe that your insurance company is improperly demanding information and not taking the necessary steps to resolve your insurance claim, you probably have a right to demand an arbitration pursuant to the terms of the policy. The insurance company has a right to demand an "examination under oath" pursuant to the terms of the policy. If you think that your insurance company is out of line, I urge you to discuss this directly with a lawyer.
