Legal Question in Personal Injury in Arizona

My car was hit while parked on the street and hit by someone. Initially it was a hit and run (I believe there was alcohol involved and was leaving a party on block) but he turned himself in the next afternoon. My vehicle was totaled by both his insurance company and mine. My car was brand new and only had 5000 miles. The insurance companies gave less than what my payoff is in addition I lost the down payment in the totaled vehicle. The insurance company only paid for about 2weeks of the rental and I ended up paying $284... Had he never hit my brand new car I would have never been in this nightmare. What can I do to be whole again? What tools and references will I need? Would it make a difference if I had people testify that he had been drinking when he hit my my?

In my opinion, your situation is far too complex to handle on your own. I'm not an accident attorney, but I'm obviously a lawyer, and I wouldn't handle such a case for my own family! If you Google "Diminished Value Attorney " you should be able to consult with an attorney who handles these kinds of cases regularly.
