Legal Question in Personal Injury in Arizona

Rear ended with existing back problems

I was recently rear ended in a low speed accident but had previous back injuries. Their insurance company has now placed me in the ''Special Investigations'' department and is requesting an entire history of previous accidents, injuries, or claims 'whether auto related or not'. They have sent me a blanket personal, financial, and medical release form and want an hour interview in order to further understand the 'nature' of my claim. Should I give them this?

Re: Rear ended with existing back problems

It is never wise to give a 'blanket' medical release as all of your confidential medical information will be released to the insurance company, including that in which they have no legitimate interest.

This is a tricky area. You should not be attempting to deal with the insurance company by yourself given your post.

Contact a personal injury attorney in your town. People with lawyers collect more than those without. He knows the ins-and-outs; you don't. There is no cost to obtain an initial consultation or case evaluation.
