Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arizona

property taxes

we purchased a house last year in october and moved in november. my realtor told me that he had taken care of all property taxes. but now I just received a delinquent notice from the county sheriff`s department telling us that we have a delinquent balance for last year`s taxes. do I have any recourse against my realtor on this issue. u

Re: property taxes

Your purchase, when it went through escrow, should have provided for the payment of delinquent property taxes and current taxes accruing (prorated between buyer and seller). I think that you have a claim possibly against the realtor and the title/escrow company. You should get counsel at once.
