Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Arizona

Estate of a friends father is suddenly gone

My friends father committed suicide about 10 years ago. He left behind properties, cash, investments....etc.

All of these assets were left in the control of his friend and attorney. Well the daughter of the deceased need money for a heart problem she is having.

The attorney told her a few weeks ago that there are millions in assets. Sudden today, they told her there is nothing.

She is very upset and I need to know what to do to help her.

I have asked her for power of attorney so that i may investigate. There is obviously fraud and embesselment here. i just need to know how to get the ball rolling. We dont even know what is/was there. They havent provided any account info etc.

This sounds much like another question I just answered. I am wondering, did the father have a trust or a will? This might make a difference in how to approach the problem. I have other questions as well. Are the father's friend and attorney the same person? Why did it take so long to distribute the estate? Has your friend ever received an accounting of the estate? Please feel free to call or email me if you would like to discuss this further.
