If someone who formerly lived in new england and subsequently died in Arizona and the exex't lives in New England, and there is no real property other than a car can the probate change states?

If there is no property of the estate other than a car, there need be no probate. Small estates under $50,000 of value can have the assets collected by the entitled person by affidavit to the holders of property, or in this case to the Motor Vehicle Division to get a new title. You must wait until 30 days after the death, and produce a death certificate with the affidavit. Motor Vehicle has the forms. Call them.
