Legal Question in Immigration Law in Arkansas

Hello everyone,

I am currently working with my OPT permit that will expire August. I have to change my visa status from F1 to H4. I have currently applied for a new passport, and that will take a couple of months still.

Will it be okay if I submit my I-539 form with the expiration date on my previous passport, and then later submit my renewed passport date?

How should I go about handling this situation?
