Legal Question in Disability Law in California

Cub Scouts

Whittier California

I found out while searching the Megan's law website, that a man in our Cub Scout pack was a registard sex offender. After reporting it to our area leaders, I was told parents were not going to be notified and that I should stay quite. After I sent an email informing all the parents of the registard sex offender, my family was kicked out of the pack. I was an assistant leader, my husband was an Assistand Cubmaster, and my son was a scout. We had been in the pack for all most three years and my son was two month away from bridging over into the Boy Scouts to start on his Eagle. We all have a perfect record and have done nothing wrong. Can we sue for this

Re: Cub Scouts

Do you want me to contact the council for you as I think your concerns should be addressed at a higher level. As a father of an Eagle Scout I would be sad if this incident cost your son an chance to have that privledge.

Re: Cub Scouts

It would have to be researched, but it is wrong and it should be taken up.
