was I supposed to show up in court???

Stipulation and Order Thereon to Continue Defendant's Hearing on Demurrer states: "Plaintiff, by and through her counsel of record, and Defendant, by and through its counsel of record, stipulate to continue Defendant's hearing on Demurrer originally set for May 5, 2010, to July 7, 2010, at 9:00 am in Department 8.

A demurrer is generally not the type of hearing that a client attends unless they are simply interested in observing the proceedings. If the judge signed an order granting the stipulation, the hearing will occur in July as agreed upon through the attorneys.

Typically, parties do not appear at motions such as demurrers, as these are legal issues argued by counsel to persuade a judge to make a ruling on the issues before him or her.

But the fact that you are posting the question on the internet to those who know nothing about your case, instead of asking your own attorney is somewhat disturbing.
