Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in California

What form do I need to file?

I had my case noted here, but I cannot convince anyone to look at it because they say the amount is too low! What about the principals?

Anyways, basically the writ of execution and the memorandum for psot judgment cost have wrong figures. Additionally, the levy place against my bank is also wrong! The collection agency was paid 375.00 based on the judge's order. They are claiming 1100 from me for post judgemnt, and let me tell you that the judge disallowed attorney's fees!

What form do I need to file to basically say the numbers are wrong? I do not mind paying the right amount.

Thanks

Re: What form do I need to file?

Most attorneys are willing to fight over the principle of the matter if the client is willing to pay them to do so.

If your question is why can't the attorney represent you and not get paid for it since the principle is important, the answer is that most attorneys do what is called pro bono work (working for free). However, since it will be the attorney doing the work, it is only fair for the attorney to decide which cases he/she wants to work on for free.

If, on the other hand, the principles involved in the case are important to you, then you should be willing to pay for an attorney to represent you in the matter.
