Question about bankruptcy&marriage

If I file for Bankruptcy will the bankruptcy go on my husbands credit report and will this have any effect on the house he owns? Does it make a difference if I file before or after we get married?

If you are not married yet, your bankruptcy should not impact your fiance's property. If you need to file it would probably be better to file before the marriage if you can to avoid any possibility of confusion.

Best to file before marriage. Pre marital debts become community debts after marriage.
