Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

I just started working and im still on probation.My question to you is this if sallie garnish my checks now can my job fire me and if so can i do a emergency bankruptcy to stop it from happening.

You cannot be fired for just one garnishment and yes, you can file for bankruptcy an stop the garnishment.... but it is not dischargeable generally since it is a student loan and so the garnishment will come back after the automatic stay period ends....assuming you file a Chapter 7. Discuss it with a bankruptcy attorney and explore the possibility of a Chapter 13 to pay in a Plan over a period of up to five years.
