You have several options.

If your customer has a presence or does regular business in the State of California, you can have an attorney sue them in California, and then take the judgment to Nevada counsel for enforcement.

Another option is to sue them in Nevada. If you have a physical presence in that state, or do business within that state (as opposed to doing business with a Nevada customer from California), you must be registered with the Nevada Secretary of State. The advantage to this option is that you do not have to go through a "two step" process. The disadvantage to this option is the possibility that you might have to travel to Nevada for discovery and/or trial.

Research fully what you want to do before hiring any collection attorney. Hiring collection counsel is never guaranteed, but can often be the best chance of recovery.

As a CA attorney I can not provide advice to NV legal matters. Check with the state bar of Nevada website and look at their lawyer referral service. Also check the Clark County Bar Association and check if they have a lawyer referral service. I would suggest finding a lawyer who focuses on business law, however, almost any lawyer should be able to help you with this contract and past due account dispute. Good luck.

As a side note: Make sure that you are "qualified" to do business in NV through that states secretary of state office or you may find yourself in a heap of trouble by doing business as a corporation without being so qualified. Ask you NV attorney for more information about this. I am simply stating that "foreign" corporations (Corporations who are incorporated out of state) who do business in CA must fill out a form and qualify to do business in CA. I am not sure if NV has the same procedures.
