What would I need to do/know if I wanted to grow and sell medical marijuana to the medical marijuana shops?

The "legalization" of marijuana in California didn't go as far as many people seem to think. As far as I can tell from a fairly superficial review of California statutes, all that has happened is that possession and use for medical purposes has been decriminalized as far as California's law and jurisdiction goes. It is erroneous to believe, as some do, that California law provides for licensing of growers, distributors, or any kind of retailers, whether styled as co-ops, non-profits or whatever. As far as I can tell, it does not.
