All three preceding answers are somewhat useful, but if you want to try doing it yourself, I'd also recommend going to an on-line or bricks-and-mortar bookstore and buying one or more of the several available paperback self-help law books on "how to trademark your product". One popular publisher of such books is Nolo Press, but there are others.
