Legal Question in Business Law in California

I came across an estate for sale that i knew could make alot of money and i asked this couple if they would put up the money because i didnt have it and they borrowed it from someone. We were suppose to move it to a storage place that they had but ended up at one of there friends car dealership storage area and after i took numerous pictures and started posting the stuff on Ebay and selling it i made over half there money back and they told me one day they were not selling it anymore they were keeping it!! How can i get it back?

Absent any written agreement you have, you are essentially describing the breach of an oral contract. If you believe that they had no right to keep it and no legal defense, then perhaps you should just sue them in CA small claims court, assuming that they too reside in CA. No lawyer is required and the award can be as high as 10K.

If you feel you need further clarification, you should discuss the case over with a lawyer in private.

Kind regards,

Frank
