Legal Question in Business Law in California

I had a fling with a lady who works for me while we were traveling 1 year a go -this happened again in May and July of this year, and while she admits to being responsible and accountable like me last year, she says she blacked out after heavy drinking in July, and upset why she was sleeping naked with her boss - on all these occasions there was never any sex, as we were both pretty intoxicated. She now says she heard that i made a suggestive remark back in March about her, and sent all the details of this to our HR department who is now investigating. My boss says they will try to come to a amicable and fair decision as not to ruin peoples carriers, but they are taking it seriously. We are allowed to work as this continues, but am i likely to be the one fired for this?

Maybe. Or you could be separated and placed in different working locations. This is all speculative at this time.

Yes you are, if you are her boss. I would recomend talking to a good employment law specialist. Please email me for a referral.

It appears you asked the same question earlier, and will get the same answer. You face 'for cause' misconduct termination unless you can persuade the company to not do so. Hire an experienced attorney if you want to maximize your chances.

If serious about hiring counsel to help in this, and if this is in SoCal, feel free to contact me. Ill be happy to help get the best outcome possible, using whatever defenses and sympathies there may be.
