Legal Question in Business Law in California

I have a pending case in San Francisco Superior. I am representing myself in court. I was granted leave by the Court to file an amended complaint because I was misled by the opposing party. Please confirm that my Amended Complaint will no longer require a CM-010 or a Complaint cover sheet. I understand that this is required only for first filings or for the original Complaint.

Form CM-010 is the Civil Case Cover Sheet. You wrote "a CM-010 or a complaint cover sheet," which suggests they are different forms. As far as I can tell, you are using two names for the same document. If you have something different in mind, please re-post your question to explain what other document you're concerned about.

The plaintiff usually must file a CM-010 only once, the first time she files any papers in the case. That ordinarily happens when she files her complaint. There are unusual situations where a plaintiff may need to amend or correct the original cover sheet, such as when ordered to do so by the court. You haven't given us enough facts to say whether any are present here.

Good luck.
