there is no rental contract between my husband and the commercial property owner he has been renting from for 10 yrs. Can my husband be told to be out in 2 weeks because someone else is willing to pay twice as much rent?

Commercial tenants have far fewer rights than residential tenants. However, even a commercial tenant is entitled to a certain amount of reasonable notice before the tenancy can be terminated. Since he has no agreement, he would be considered a month to month tenant. He is entitled to at least 30 days notice, and probably 60 days since he has been there so long. Your husband may want to contact a local landlord tenant attorney. He might be able to stay until he is provided at least 30 days written notice.
