Legal Question

My boyfriend and I had a confrontation. And in the end I ended up getting a domestic battery citation. My court date is next month and I haven't been contacted by anyone yet. My boyfriend received a letter in the mail saying that they would help him in any way and have given him domestic abuse pamphlets. I dont know what to do. Can charges be pressed against me?
