Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

At a dance that was hosted at my college. I had consumed alcohol, before the event. At the event energy drinks were provided to the attendants and I drank a few of those. In the morning I had an extremely spotty recollection of the night, and only remember this one girl yelling at me for as I was trying to leave for doing something to her friend, and then analogizing to the girl. In the morning our campus safety contacted me saying there were some serious allocations made against me. I went in to find out that I allegedly "punched" this girls friend in the face. I had no recollection of that, and said there must have been some mistake or confusion. He said that they had multiple people who witnessed the event. I ask for more details but the campus safety wouldn't provide any. Fortunately the girl doesnt want to pursue legal retribution. I have a hearing with an on campus official to receive my sentencing though the school. I imagine all the people in the report were the victims friends, and I can almost guarantee they were also probably under the influence would never punch a girl in any state of mind and I really think this was just an accident that evolved rapidly. I imagine the school is going to take these allocations quite seriously, and I am wondering what my best approach would be?

You seriously need to contact an attorney, preferably someone with criminal law experience. I recommend that you do this immediately, and the word is "allegation" not "allocation".
