Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California
I was in a mental hospital as an adolescent for depression. If I am applying to be a cop do I need to tell them about it since I was a minor when it happened. If I do, does this mean I cant be a cop. I was told that since I was a minor it didnt really matter. They also said it was private and didnt need to tell anyone. What are my rights and what can I do?

read the cop application and answer truthfully you should be okay as you were a minor
