Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

My business failed. I was on a debt consolidation plan with my credit card debt for the first year of a 5 year plan. I can no longer make the consolidated debt payments. The consolidator told me the credit card companies will put me into collections and after a time will go to court to get a judgement against me to put liens on my property. My question is: can the credit card companies put a lien on a property outside of the US?

Yes, if they are willing to go to the trouble and if it is in a country with legal reciprocity treaties with the US (the majority do).
