Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

collecting a judgment

I currently work out of my home as ajudgment collector.I have been approached by a potential client who wants me to collect his portion of a judgment. He is one of 5 plaintiffs named on the jugment( the were consolidated) and the judge has awarded each a specific amount of the judgment. Can I be the assignee of record for just one plaintiff, or do I need to have the acknowledgment of assignment include all 5 of the plaintiffs?

Thank You

Re: collecting a judgment

You can be the assignee of just one unless there's something special in the judgment. However, just a monetary judgment should be.
