Personal Banking Wire Transfer Question

In error I received a wire transfer from a bank in Tokoyo in the amount of $2,480 intoa my personal checking account and was interested in finding out what rights I have to the money. My bank is Wells Fargo. If you can provide some insight on my rights to the money I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Re: Personal Banking Wire Transfer Question

You do not have any rights to the money. It was wired to your account by accident and you know that it is an error.

You can wait until they catch it. However, there is the possibility that they would be entitled to interest if you use it.
