Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I was served a wage garnishment for 948.33. ADP continued to deduct for the garnishment until I had to quit my job. They took $16,746! I have all paystubs for proof. I also have the garnishment order. Can you help me? I do not believe the funds were ever paid to the franschise.

You need to call a lawyer. Something seems really wrong here. Do you have the initial paperwork showing the amount of the initial judgment? Do you have something showing $948.33? Do you have something called EARNINGS/WAGE WITHHOLDING ORDER? Anything from the Sheriff? What was ADP's reasoning for continuing the garnishment. They should not act without an order from the Sheriff. If you have access to a fax machine, you can fax some of the paperwork you have. Otherwise call a lawyer near you.
