I was arrested for trespassing. My fingerprint record says Dispo:Pros Rel-Det Only-Interest of justice. How can I prove to the adoption agency I was not convicted of the crime

You can tell them that Dispo:Pros Rel-Det Only-Interest of justice means:

The DISPOsition of the arrest was that the PROSecutor RELeased you, deeming the arrest a DETention ONLY, in the INTEREST OF JUSTICE. Put another way, your arrest was deemed to be only a detention, not an arrest, and that ended the matter. A detention is less serious than an arrest. There was no prosecution so there cannot be a conviction. And an arrest not followed by a conviction cannot be used against you for any reason or purpose. And if there was a conviction, it would show up on your record right under the arrest. Since it doesn't show it, it didn't happen. If you have any further questions, you can call me at 310 922 3983. Good luck.
