DMV says my driver lic, is on hold, what do I do to corret this ?

You need to investigate in detail what exactly is holding your license. DMV should give you this information. Once you find out, you need to clean up any outstanding issues, such as unpaid tickets or missed court dates, whatever your situation might be.

You might consider hiring a lawyer if your situation is somewhat complicated, for example, if you missed some ticket court dates, you are facing failure to appear charges and/or bench warrants. It might very well be worth your time and money to do so.
