Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

My friend got arrested last week and now the Next court code is M30. Next court case: LASOFUG; Visitor Status: N. He lived in California and the case is from Texas, so probably he will be extradited. How can i meet him as i need to get some documents signed. And which is better. To get a CA lawyer and a Texas lawyer too. or only the TEXAS lawyer as he will be extradited for sure. Crime is violation of Restraining order.

You can explain the situation to the jail staff and ask to have a visit with him. Or you could ask them to take the papers to him for his signature. The jail staff will read the documents. You should not do this with any confidential documents.

It is probably best to have a lawyer in Los Angeles and a lawyer in Texas. Extradition is not automatic, and some things can be done to possibly avoid it. I'm not sure if the jailers will give him documents to sign, but a lawyer can get them signed for you. Give it a try and see. If you'd like to talk to me about this matter, please don't hesitate to call me at 310 393 0639. Good luck. Steve Mandell
