Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I have a friend that is currently locked up and has a release date of July 1st he caught another charge while locked up and they keep postponing his court date for that charge will he get out July 1st and then be rearrested when he's let go or will they just give him a court date and he has to show up

There may be a hold placed on him and when he's due to be released, he will then be transported to court on the new case.
