Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

In July 2001 I was arrested for giving alcohol to a minor--"Contributing To The Delinquency Of A Minor, in California. I swear the code was 235(a) but I see it is actually 272 today. Is it possible it was 235(a) in 2001 and it's been changed since then? Or more likely that I forgot and it was 272 all along?

Thanks

As far back as I can recall. It has been 272. I know 235 doesn't even exist today and I don't believe it did back them either.

You can always get your own background check so see what code section is there. Even if it was a different code then, the code you were charged with and convicted of should be on your rap sheet. See the link below for information on how to get your own copy if your department of justice criminal history.

According to my annotated code book, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor has been Penal Code section 272 since 1961.
