pleading not guilty

my bf is pleading not guilty to the charge he was not caught in the car but found 10 mins later with dirt on him is that enough to convict him as guilty? and also he had been put on juvinle probation but hes 18 now will that effect the case?

The prosecution must have some evidence connecting him to the car in order to try him and to convict. I suspect they have something or other - perhaps someone saw him in the car? - if they want to prosecute. Whether the evidence is sufficient for a conviction it is impossible to tell without knowing more facts about the case.

Only a lawyer who is familiar with all the facts of the case and who, among other things, is familiar with the police reports, can advise you about how strong the case against your bf is.
