Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Probation violation for drunk in public

I received a felony for possession of marijuana with intent to sell ONE year ago. Have been on probation since, and have been PERFECT up until got in argument with bouncer and got drunk in public/disturbing peace. Anyone know how I can reduce risk of jail ?

You will not necessarily face jail time. That said, you should hire a good lawyer to ensure you will not end up in jail, either on probation violation or new charges.

By getting a lawyer. Your best bet is probably the lawyer who represented you a year ago.

Good luck.

By effectively presenting your persuasive arguments to the judge why you shouldn't be returned to prison on a probation violation, or to jail on the new charges. If you are comfortable with your ability to do so, going up against a prosecutor who's job it is to put you in jail, then feel free to contact me for the legal help you should get.
