Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I requested my file from my criminal defense attorney and need to know if it's customary to not have any paperwork on plea deals i agreed to, or a Discovery, or restitution paperwork.

At a minimum there should be a complaint and discovery in the file. Discovery may be limited to a police report. It ma also include a rap sheet. Depending on the county there may be docket sheets from each appearance in court. There may be investigative reports if an investigator was used. In some counties the DA puts the offer in print and in such cases it should be in the file. Discovery should also include witness statements if they were in writing. Restitution paperwork would depend upon the nature of the case
