Re: co signer

I am not sure why this ended up under criminal law, but the answer is that if you are the owner of a vehicle, you are responsible for the damages an owner does up to certain limits. If you are on the registration, than you are an owner. If you are only on the loan documents, but not the registration, than you would not face responsibility under most circumstances. I would invite you to visit my blog, www.calpiblog.com, where I have discussed this further.

Re: co signer

The co-signer would be liable for repair of damages or replacement of the vehicle on which the person is the co-signer.

Re: co signer

Yup. Any owner on title is liable for actions of anyone driving the vehicle.
