Legal Question in Discrimination Law in California

Company threatened me to fire my bosses if I persue any legal action.

I am an Asian woman, and have been working for this compnay over 3 years. A few months later I started, a man was hired as Administrator, he was Caucasian, had no previous experience on the job nor working in the office, and owns a high school diploma. (I have BA degree, skills 100WPM, and experiences.) After the guy was hired, General Manager of the office started to harrase me. I complained in writing to my boss about the guy got hired over me, and general manager's harrasement. He sent my complains to Human Resources Dept. and the manager came to talk to me, but he didn't answer to any of my questions. Later, my boss begged me not to do any legal actions including callin to EEOC because he was told that Company would fire him if I pursue any legal actions, and also he made me to take back the complains. I did because I didn't want to see him get fired. Nothing has been improved. Now I decided to leave the company, and I'd like to pursue legal action if I could. What can I do? Please advice.

Do you have copies of the documents you gave to the HR Department? Did they retain copies or were they all removed from the file? HR is supposed to give you copies, but not remove files.

Best recommendation is to begin with the Department of Labor and file a complaint with them.
