The cop knows me because my stepdad is highway patrol in California an was not going to write me up but I ran my mouth and he ended up giving me a drunk in public citation while my mom was on her way. I was wondering now what? fees, what will they do to me, also I'm only 20 so I am under aged but it's my first offense also

If you're convicted, you will lose your ability to drive for 1 year. As a Former Deputy District Attorney, after handling these cases for over 28 years now, I always attempt to get these charges dropped. You really should speak to an experienced lawyer and you will gain a lot of advise, that you need at this time. Most criminal defense attorneys offer free consultations, so you have nothing to lose.....I hope that helps.......David Wallin
