Legal Question in Family Law in California

We have 50/50 custody of my step-daughter and pay child support, my question is if there's any way around this considering we pick up the child every day from school on the other parents days. We keep her every evening and feed her dinner almost every day of the month except on the other parents weekends. I don't think it's fair we have to pay when we are the only ones doing the day to day parenting and have the child more like 80/20 than 50/50. Is there anything we can do?

Yes, apply for a modification of the custody order to reflect the reality, and an adjustment in support for the new official schedule. The changes are only retroactive to the date the request is filed and served, so you need to move sooner rather than later.
