Legal Question in Family Law in California

Adoption

My wife and I have had guradinship of our grandson since May of 2001. On October 3rd, we have a court hearing to adopt him. Since May of 2001 the other grandmother has, had court ordered visition every Sunday from 12-5. His father was killed last year and his mother (our daughter is happy we are adopting him). Once the adoption is complete, ''Do we still have to allow the other grandmother to see him every Sunday''?

Re: Adoption

Once the adoption is completed she would no longer be his grandmother. However unless these visits are in some way harmful to the child why would you stop the visits?
