Legal Question in Family Law in California

Both my children are now over 18, however their father still owes a good sum of back child support. Before my son turned 18, I called CCS and they informed me that regular child support payments would still be garnished until the back support was paid off, however I found out t that's not true and he's only paying $9/wk on thousands in back support, is there a different court that I have to go to, to have this changed?

Nothing precludes you from returning to court on an enforcement motion by filing a request for order with the court for that purpose. Please meet with an experienced family law attorney to explore your legal options.
