Legal Question in Family Law in California

My courthouse lost my child custody file. All of our information for our case was in that file. I was told that there is nothing in the system even showing we filed a case at this courthouse.... They even lost my stipulation that we signed, our current judgement for child custody, the stay away orders etc.

What happens now?

Do I have to re-file?

Is this judgement even able to be enforced?

Does this mean that we start from square one again meaning we have to decided who gets custody all over again by going to court AGAIN????

Are you sure the file was lost? The courthouse should at least have some record of whether or not something was ever filed, even in the computer that tracks payment of filing fees. You should confirm first whether or not anything was filed first.
